Online therapy for women in NYC, Westchester and Long Island
Helping women build confidence and quiet self doubt.
What if you could stop questioning past decisions, blaming yourself for failures, and ruminating about your choices?
Not feeling good about yourself shows up at work, at home, and especially during times of transition.
You’ve watched yourself do hard things. You know you’ve accomplished a lot in life, but you never consistently feel that way. You’re confused by how quickly you go from hope and faith in yourself to disappointment. You get stuck in mental loops of indecision, perfectionism, and avoidance.
You want to communicate clearly and calmly but you’re too lost in your feelings. Your words never seem to come out right. You’re either overly focussed on yourself or overly focussed on other people. And you can’t shake your fear of their judgment and strong reactions, even the people you trust. Then of course you start feeling badly about yourself.
Why am I like this? What does this mean about me? And why haven’t I figured this out yet? You question your abilities and your attitude. You vacillate between blaming others and blaming yourself. You’re sad about your state of affairs, nervous about how you’ll manage in the future, and overthinking your options.
Hi, I’m Robyn.
I help women feel more confident, professionally and personally.
No matter how accomplished you are or how much support you’ve had, the voices inside you relentlessly question, blame, and ruminate. For many women, anxiety, depression, and obsessional tendencies are symptoms of underlying self-esteem issues. In a culture that dismisses emotions and devalues women, it makes sense that you are overwhelmed by your feelings and lack confidence in yourself.
How were your emotions handled in your family and social settings growing up? I offer you a regular day and time each week to understand how things got to be this way. What roles from the past are you playing out unconsciously? When you make connections between the past and present, you can stop reacting like the helpless child you were and start responding like the mature adult you are.
With patience and encouragement, you can develop self-compassion and become aware of your emotional patterns and vulnerabilities so they don’t overpower you . You can feel more competent at work and capable at home. Let’s give your inner world the attention it always needed.

Ready to get started?
I offer all prospective patients a complimentary ten minute phone call. Sharing a bit about your current struggles gives you a chance to experience how well I listen and respond to you. During our call I’ll also want to learn about your past experiences with therapy if any. I’ll address any concerns or questions about therapy in general, how I work specifically, or what it’s like to meet virtually.
If we both feel confident I can help you, we’ll find a regular day and time to meet each week. We’ll use the first session to get a more complete picture of what’s bringing you to therapy right now. We’ll also review your background and find out what meaningful growth would look like to you.
I make every effort to create a simple and transparent experience for my patients. l use a secure virtual platform for sessions that patients find convenient and easy to navigate.
