For many women, anxiety, depression, and obsessional tendencies are symptoms of underlying self esteem issues. No matter how accomplished you are or how fortunate you’ve been, the voices inside you relentlessly question, blame, and ruminate. In a culture that dismisses emotions and devalues women, it’s no wonder you are overwhelmed by your feelings and lack confidence in yourself.

How were your emotions handled in your family, schools, camps, and teams growing up? What roles from the past are you playing out unconsciously? I offer you a regular day and time each week to slow down, step back, and make connections between the past and present so you can move from reacting like the helpless child you were to responding like the mature adult you are.

Your first step is to schedule your complimentary ten-minute call with me. I’ll get a sense of what you’re struggling with, and you’ll get a feel for how I listen and respond to you. I’m happy to answer any and all questions about therapy and what it’s like to work with me.

If we both feel confident I can help, we’ll find a regular day and time to meet each week. Sessions take place online using a secure virtual platform. We’ll use the first session to get a snapshot of your life thus far and a better understanding of where you’re at. If all goes well, we’ll start meeting weekly.

Since problems develop over long periods of time, they don’t disappear quickly. Most clients are in therapy with me for a year or more. There will be “aha moments” and setbacks. Improvement will be gradual, but your growth will be deep, long lasting, and life changing.
